Be on time. Punctuality is the number one modeling tip. Do not just show up at the exact time scheduled for the shoot. You need to be at least 15 minutes early, 30 minutes is better. If you are going to a shoot alone – be sure to tell someone where you'll be, and with whom.

Be prepared. It is always a good modeling tip to take extra clothing in case you need to change at the shoot. Don't assume the director or photographer will always have everything you need. Take your own make-up even if a make-up artist is to be provided.

Get as many references as you can. Double check the photographer's background and references. Make sure you are working with professionals. Get the phone numbers and addresses of anyone you are working with. Make sure you know as much as you can about the people you are working for. This is a modeling tip that can affect your health and safety.

Make sure that you know exactly what the shoot and associated work will be. Never feel pressured to do anything that you don't feel comfortable doing. Don't agree to do anything that you might not be proud of later is a more important modeling tip than one might imagine. What you do today can affect your career tomorrow. Hopefully it will be in a positive manner.

Keep written copies of all agreements. This is a very important modeling tip if you want to make money in the industry. Try to get a written contract for all expenses, travel costs, etc. Verbal agreements can be shaky after the fact and may cost you hard-earned cash.

Modeling is a very competitive business. It is a lifestyle more than it is just a 9 to 5 job. One modeling tip that most people won't tell you is that modeling is hard work. It can be time-consuming and you might experience many rejections before you have any success. It takes serious commitment to make it as a successful model.
