     Do you have what it takes to be a model?  In order to be a model, you'll need to realize that the modeling industry is very competitive.  The good news is that if you are reading this, you are gaining knowledge that will help you to be a model and be successful.

     First, you'll need to decide what type of modeling is best for you.  There are many different types of modeling.  You might be good for hair modeling, hand modeling, foot modeling, or runway modeling.  In order to be a model you'll need to understand that each type of modeling is different and has slightly different requirements. 

     If you have great hands, you might want to be a model for hand work.  Look online and in magazines for ads that show hands.  If you have smooth, clean, nicely shaped hands with healthy fingernails, you might want to be a model for ads or commercials that use hand models.

     In order to be a model for hair jobs, you'll need to make sure that you have very healthy hair.  If you have long hair and are willing to experiment, you should try to be a hair model.  Healthy hair is hair that is clean, unprocessed, and natural.  The color should be natural.

     To be a model for foot work, you'll need to have very nice looking feet.  Just like hand models, check ads online and in print that show feet in the ad.  You'll notice that the feet are clean, clear and not blemished, and the toe nails are healthy and manicured.

     Runway modeling is probably the toughest area to break into if you want to be a model.  Runway models work very hard and possess all the components in modeling.  In order to be a model on the runway, you'll need great hair, feet, hands, body and overall beauty.  You'll need to be professional and have great people skills.
